This is my Coleman BQ bracket lamp, date stamped 1 7 so 1927? Made in USA. Had it a few years now and fitted it with a repro shade holder.

I've also got a famos lamp fitted with an identical shade, I was wondering if that design of shade was used by more than one company on a number of different lamps. Regards Ian

Your BQ is actually July of 31. Coleman dates were reversed with year on left month on right on early lamps and lanterns
Jean The Famos has more bulge plus other subtleties. They’re similar for sure. Interesting enough plus the Famos were offered in the early thirties Veritas Catalog decorated like a late Coleman 318. That comparison is even more nuanced.
Jean I’m betting Larry would like to see the mixing chamber with the shade holder removed? Larry I’m taking a stab that the air tube matches the lamps age based on the slightly large patent font.
Jean Here’s a Famos side by side with a late Coleman 324. This one a late 318 and a 444 Coleman are very similar to the Famos but they are definitely different. there’s quite a bit more bulge Vs your 329 Monax shade.
