    Hi All, Went on a bit of a shopping trip yesterday and the wife said I'm not allowed out again on my own.[-X
    A few questions on my purchases...Is the Donut lamp an OL50? Does anyone have a spare arm and burner they would be willing to sell?
    The Coleman's QL has the date numbers 4 & 14 when would this date to? Also is that a Colemans lamp shade?
    I look forward to your replies..Take care and stay safe..Thomas. :) IMG_1485.JPG IMG_1486.JPG IMG_1487.JPG

    That's a great haul!:thumbup::clap::clap::thumbup:

    The reflector on the OL-50 is 14 inches in diameter and the reflector on the OL-51 is 16 inches in diameter.

    The link below shows the 1955 Tilley catalogue, but the library is only open to subscribers and I have seen the pipe for Tilley wall lamps listed on Ebay and those can be modified to fit the do-nut lamps, a metal worker would be able to make a pipe for your lamp.

    That white shade is most likely off a leccy lamp....

    The “4 and 14” on the Coleman lamp does not make sense to me.

    Can you check the numbers again, please? One number is month, the other, year. So “14” fits neither.

    That is not a Coleman shade.

    Cheers

    Tony

    I can see why your wife won't let you out again, excellent finds by the way.

    The burner and gallery/chimney for OL50 looks like this.
    !!Til_OL50_Gallery-chimney.jpg

    The steel hook for the wire has broken off this one but you can see it incorporates an internal chimney to carry the hot exhaust and to limit heat transfer to the fuel in the tank. The burner is a standard 300cp type found on a lot of Tilley lamps and lanterns so readily available but this gallery/chimney is a rare part to find. The lamp will run with a table lamp gallery but it would probably be wise to add a chimney. The feed pipe is about 12 inches long so longer than the wall lamp type which are about 9 inches long but they do turn up and it should be easy enough to cut and add in a 3 inch extension. ::Neil::

    John and I had intended going across to N Ireland next month for our Emerald Anniversary but I can see that there’ll be no finds for me, @Madcollector has scooped the lot!
