Hi, picked up this little beauty at a local boot sale, thinking it would fit nicely onto my camping gaz bottle, but, alas the thread is different. Doh!

Would anyone have any ideas what I need to search for or where I might source a gas bottle to get this lovely little thing fired up?
    Thank you.

This type, pretty much obsolete 1964 catalogue.

A few years ago these Calor 340/Primus 2000 cylinders were obtainable as refills on exchange but the source (mine at least) has dried up with the popularity of disposable propane cylinders - which have a different fitting.

Not an ideal format for a heater that one (topple prone) more suitable for a blowtorch.

Depending on the thread on your gas bottle you can get adaptors like this one.

Thanks Robbo55, this was something I was thinking about, now that I know the 1.9kg primus tanks are very difficult to find.
    Maybe a two-adaptor combo?

Any idea which type/types I'd need to combine to go from primus female one end to camping gaz 907 male at the other?

Sorry Wirdy, I'm not familiar with Campingaz.

Given that Primus bottles were propane and Campingaz ones are butane I’m doubtful that whoever makes such connectors does one. I’m not familiar with the product or source, but presumably its Primus female to Coleman-type propane male?

The annoying bit is, there's a seller on evilBay selling a whole load of the exact 1.9kg primus bottles (the low squat type) I need, they look in very good condition, for £5 each collection.

Unwilling to post, fair enough, & they are in Huddersfield & I'm too far away in Scotland. Grrrr...
