Hello everyone. And,I appreciate everyone here. I'm fixing a rusty ditmar 593. And I refer to this page. I don't know if this lantern will light up. But I will do my best. It took time to disassemble. The tank is heavily rusted. It may leak fuel. No rod and needle. I plan to make these myself.
This version is designed to run on petrol/gasoline, so be sure to avoid any leaks. You're lucky because the inner chimney and the burner as well as the jet are there. The needle bar should have a flat round head (like a nail) at its lower end that would engage the milled out area of the valve stem and thus be raised and lowered when the stem is rotated. There should also be a small spring around the needle bar. This spring is to push the head of the needle bar down, and rests against an aluminum washer located in the valve body (where I placed the red arrow in your picture). This washer also serves as a seal under the vaporizer and has only a small hole where the needle bar goes through it, in order to allow the spring to seat correctly.

@dohraku That looks good to me so far . But you also have to make sure that the needle rod leaves enough room inside the vaporizer to allow for the fuel flow passing freely, in particular where it's already evaporated. The only "narrow point" should definitely be the jet. Unfortunately I have no access to a rod here in order to measure it without dismantling a lantern. Moreover, there are several different versions of these vaporizers, and none of my lanterns has the vaporizer model that yours has.
@Martin K. I used a rod with a diameter of 2.5 mm. The inner diameter of the vaporizer is about 3.0mm, so there is plenty of space. As for the cleaning needles, I used 0.12mm diameter acupuncture needles. I connected this needle to a 1.2mm diameter rod. To the center of 1.2mm diameter I drilled a 0.3mm hole. A needle of 0.12 mm was put into the hole and then crimped. I sharpened the crimped part like the tip of a pencil. (I processed the rods and needles referring to the images here and on the web.)
