As I'm sure some of you are aware Terry, aka 'The Tilleyman', is having a couple of open days this weekend at his warehouse in Chester to move on some of his stock. The reasons I won't discuss here.
I've been communicating with Terry for some while on Messenger and finally met him at Newark this year. So I wasn't going to miss a trip to see him.
Those that know me will know I'm mostly a stovie but having seen some amazing Tilley AL lanterns at Newark I was hoping Terry might have one I could purchase. As it turned out he was working on one which he let me buy. I'm aware it isn't quite correct, burner tubes too long apparently, but do you know what I'm probably happy the way it is.

It's fine just the way it is everything doesn't have to be strictly correct maybe another burner will turn up in the future, main thing is the lamp makes you happy when you run it
    Cheers pete

I'd meant to include a short video yesterday but Vimeo was playing up.

A good working lamp in my view is more important than being correct in every minute detail
    Regards Ian.

@Mr cod yes I'm thinking the same Ian. One of my favourites is a Coleman 327/427 mash up.

In my opinion it looks wonderful, and seems to run well, besides collectors no one will even notice that's its not all original.
I would rather have a not quite right lamp than nothing at all. One day you may even find the other parts, the lamp Gods are strange that way, good luck mate.
