I have a 427K bought from a local boot sale,It is date stamped D 39. and states on the bottom for paraffin / kerosene. I have ordered a pump seal from the Fettlebox and a set of # 21 mantles from ebay. Can any one help with the questions below. 1) Does any one make a filler plug seal (the one on the lamp is completely gone) 2 )Is there a glass globe that will fit I read on the site a 330globe will fit is this a Coleman part, if so is it readerly available. 3)This is a long shot are re-pro mica shades available as the one on the lamp is in a poor condition (think I know the answer to this one) Any other tips on getting the old girl going again.
New mica shades are available from the states, but is yours worse on the side we can’t see? If it’s just dirty and looks a bit cloudy the. They can be brought back with a gentle cleaning.

These Quick-Lite lanterns are perhaps the best engineering Coleman ever made. Mostly all they ever need is a clean and maybe a new generator. That mica looks reasonably good. I normally just shove them in the dishwasher which does a great job of clening the mica panels without damaging them. ::Neil::
It's probably best to do this when your missus isn't at home and unlikely to return for a few hours...
Needed a new generator and burner caps but is up and running seems very bright even in the daylight going to be a long wait till dark.
