HASAG No:42 Pressure Lantern.

My 4th Purchase

This is a HASAG No:42 Pressure Lantern.

Can any one tell me which year it is belongs to.

I think that it is from around 1950. it is made in Germany by Hugo Schneider Gmbh. The lantern is 34 cm high,

 

Not likely to be 1950s. After WW2 lamps would be stamped West Germany or DDR not just "Germany". Probably late 1930s. They were made like that from the mid 1930s but the hole pattern in the collar suggests 1939. ::Neil::

India is certainly a country where you are still likely to find many such lanterns from the 30s.
Probably thanks to F.A. Racek.
Certainly more likely than in Southeast Asia.

 

But also in India lamps are used, repaired, modified, used again, etc.
