Hello every one ! This is my latest find, a Radius 106A. The Radius 106A is a kerosene fueled 300cp Lantern, that uses a positive fuel shut of valve positioned in the vaporizer upper part (a conic part is threaded on the rinse needle rod, and the needle it self is screwed in to that part, instead of being screwed in to the rinse needle rod it self) At first glance the 106A looks like the 103, but as you can see, the fount is altogether different since the fuel pick up is straight and positioned in the cut out of the collar of the glass stand. Where the fuel pick up tube is positioned on a 103, is on the 106A only a threaded soldered on nut for the glass stand fastening screw. The lantern looks a little awkward, with the fuel valve angled to the side instead of being pointed straight out from the fount, but it makes perfectly sense since otherwise, it would protrude considerable, and would probably not fit inside the box. On this lantern you clean the jet by turning the wheel to the left, and close the fuel valve by turning the wheel to the right. I would say that this lantern is from the late fifties or the earliest years of the sixties. Best regards / Fred
That pricker/valve operation reminds me of the little Phoebus 611/615 or of the Geniol/Heinze "Dieselkocher" from the German Army.
