Bought this beautiful unfired Bernz O Matic TX750 propane lantern. I really like the colours of it and it is an interesting design. Even came with mantles. Looking at it, I should be able to connect a hose to it to run off a 20lb tank as the only size that fits into the holder are the 400 gram bottles that cost $11 Canadian each! *wow the site is slow today. Took a good 6-7 minutes for the pics to upload when normally it's done in under a minute*
Battery and LED unit to keep it pristine ?? Should be able to route the wire without even a scratch on the paintwork
Why ? I guess you don't need the light and this is a very nice example of what was made back in the days.
What effect? - a battery/LED combination in the lantern won't look anything like it would have done originally. Leave the poor thing alone and respect it for what it is - a rare survivor in pristine condition from a by-gone age...
