I was lucky and won this set for $65. Not a big fan of Geniol gas, but I might get them working first before deciding if I should switch over to kerosene.

You won't be disappointed with kerosene. I have been collecting for almost 40 years and I still prefer kerosene over gasoline or camp fuel.:content:

Love the smell of kerosene...... reminds me of my early childhood in the country before mains electricity was brought out to the farms. This was in the 1950s .......... and yes, I’m almost middle aged :D/
    Cheers

Swee-eet, and a nice price too.

If you do decide to switch over to kero, you may find it difficult to scource 250cp generators with a Preston loop. Fear not, you can use straight kero in those straight generators but,
    avoid windy conditions,
you may have to adjust the air gap,
you may have to use the cleaning needle more often,
you may have to de-carbon the generator more frequently.

Of course, you could always use an Amish mix instead.

    Henry.
