Coleman made quite a few twin mantle kero lamps but not so many twin lanterns. First guess is model 235 for sure but and Coleman Canada made a 427K which is a kero version of L427. I can't think of another right now. Mind you nearly all the 20s match lighting lamps and lanterns from most companies could be bought to run on kero. Certainly Evening Star and Kildark here in the UK. ::Neil::

    Thank you Neil
Only two models made, that mean in order to get one of those you have to be a little patience. I had a look in the reference gallery and it was not so many shown, and I guess that kind of reflects the number of them out there.

Little strange for me anyway, why making two mantles for gasoline but not for kero ??

    best regards

Not only patience but a nice deep pocket as well. Coleman 235s are rare, much sought after and command a high price. The Canadian 427K is pretty rare as well but you might hope to find one of those perhaps a little cheaper.

One thing I have learnt in over 40 years collecting this stuff is having a wish list is stress territory. Go looking but without expectations and buy what you see when you see it. Save you an ulcer or two and years of dissapointment. ::Neil::

Then there is the "Holy of Holies", the Lancaster Model 720 Nite-Hawk. A few collectors have managed to acquire one of these. Then there are the rest of us that are "waiting patiently" for Jake to "get the bugs out" so that we too can buy one. [-o< TWO 500 cp mantles of kero burning blinding light! 8)

    Thank you Neil and Bob
That Lancaster looks like it would be worth waiting for. As I understood it's still produced, is it the price which make it hard to buy, or do they just produce a very few number?
    Best regards

Both. Jake makes each one by hand so you have to order one and there is a waiting list which is probably around a year or more. Then you will get little change out of US$300 Heavy clunky fuel hogs but awesome light power. At a guess probably the most expensive lantern ever sold as new but then again the most powerful I know of. ::Neil::
