Hi there, I have two lanterns. After i cleaned up and replaced seal kit. I lighted up the lamp The Tilley x246B bright more than Bialaddin 305. Tilley x246B is 300 vaporizer size. Pls help to understand about Bialaddin 305's Vaporizer size. I tried to look information but don't know size of nozzle, and don't know how many CP (candle power) Thanks, Minh
Officially? lol, I think both are in the 250CP region. However, as we all know, there can be substantial variations between lamps of the same type even the same lamp with different mantels. I've got both makes and various models, they are of very similar light output generally, perhaps the Vapalux lamps are a little brighter. Personally I find anything brighter to be too much. I rarely light my 500CP petromax clone because its too much around a camp fire.. Martin
Thank for your information. i also think about mantle. I used the same mantle brand (Peerless) but difference size. I used peerless 24A for tilley and 111 for bialaddin. Normally, if mantle is too big the lamp will not bright more. I will try to use same mantles. But i want to know about size of vaporizer size. Minh
Welcome aboard! The light output also depends on how much use the vapouriser and burner have had. Both of your lanterns are working well.
I am not clear what you say. Someone help me to understand about both vaporizer. I don't know the nozzle of vaporizer same or not but tilley x246b brighter than bialladdin 305. Tilley used 300 vaporizer and bialaddin 305 use orginal vaporizer ( can see paten No. on vaporizer and frame, both patent is same Pls help to understand this point Minh
@txminhcoke The X246B and the Bialaddin are 300 candle power. The jet in each vapouriser is the same size. Tony
