If I put it down, it releases flames and paraffin falls without burning, and so that it does not make a flame and some light (little) I have to set the valve to 10% more or less and another doubt the height of the needle is only adjusted internally where the roulette? As Matti has said, the needle does not stop the flow of fuel. The method of starting the lantern is to pre-heat the vapouriser with alcohol, and then slowly pump pressure into the tank when the vapouriser is hot and there is still flame from the alcohol (if alcohol has burned out, use a match). The needle should be fully down for lighting the mantle and running the lantern. Up for pricking only. Tony @_kona_ EDIT. I know the way to light but the flame that makes does not make sense but knowing that the needle does not cut the flow it is very possible that the corrosion of time made the hole of the jet bigger, I suppose I will have to buy a new one. I am going to try to record a video to show it
Is your lantern burning outside the mantle? If so, make sure the nipple (jet) is not loose. But you might have an enlarged jet. Saludos Tony
