Brilliant pictures, really detailed and shows why the Lantern is how it is. For me however this lantern be known as the Minion Lantern. Well done, thanks for sharing and for making me laugh.
These are strictly speaking not Hasag lamps. They were made in Switzerland by Eugen Schatz and after 1970 by Meinrad Aschwanden and are listed in the PLC as Schatz. They do have Hasag model numbers and as I understand it were originally imported from Germany but later after WW2 were made in Zug or Goldau partly from imported parts and partly from Swiss made parts. Production seems to have ceased in 1985 but a later model 551LD was made from the parts inventory purchased by Roman Auf der Mauer and partly from reproduced parts. This hospital version was likely designed and made in Switzerland for the Swiss military only and never made or sold in Germany by Hasag. ::Neil::
