I wasn’t originally going to fettle this, but glad I did now. Nothing fancy just another 300X...the colour on the can suggested it was a bit darker, but it will mature with age.
@Gary Waller She looks great. Are you going to fire her up or will she be a shelf queen? Regards Jeremy
@X246A Jeremy just for you.... But rest assured as soon as it’s cooled down it will be on the shelf...lol
Where did you get the enamel cap from, please? All of the repro ones I've seen are the later shape with the out rolled edge - I've not seen a repro of the earlier in rolled shape before. ...
@Gary Waller Thanks for the money shot, she sure looks good! Just out of interest, what car is in the picture please? Regards Jeremy
@george @Tony Press At the time my Vogue was made in 1967, Singer was part of the Rootes group to include, Humber, Hillman, Sunbeam, Singer. The later Vogue ran the superior 1725cc, alloy head engine the same as the Humber Sceptre and latterly the renowned Hillman Hunter GLs with the Holbay engineered engine. You don’t see a lot of Vogue estates in the Uk as there were very expensive in the day compared to the Super Minx. I know this not lamp related... but hey...
Hi Gary Thanks for the information, the wing looked vaguely familiar. My grand father had a Hilman Minx when I was a child back in the late 1960’s early 1970’s. Regards Jeremy @Gary Waller @Tony Press
