Original This lantern Hi I bought a lantern from Singapore. I searched for information on this lamp. Not found but with preference Therefore friend made Valve to close the oil up And try to put on the lamp Want to know who knows enough about this information Now this lamp can be lit in the absence of wind. In the building because the burner set of this burner is on the outside Thank you king's of highway
@King Of Highway Great lamp and presentation, but I have no idea what lamp that is. Excellent restoration! Cheers Tony
That handle, lamp head and burner appear to be Kitson. Certainly the other lamps are Kitson table types. They are all kero lamps and don't have a shut off valve as it is not necessary with a kero burner. The tank and filler/air inlet cap don't look right for Kitson though and I would suspect may not be original to the lamp. Also I am not aware of any Kitson lamp marked as German. Not impossible though as Kitson franchised production all over. Kitson lamps are normally well marked either Kelco or Kelite with a label on the tank. That tank almost looks like a 1950s Tilley. I don't think it is a Tilley because the centre boss is wrong and they don't have a pressure release built in. I guess it could be a pressure indicator modified to a pressure release but it seems too long for that. Custom or original? Could be either but I think custom is more likely. ::Neil::
