hey hey again here from finland :)
now it has happened that I whispered completely into the lamps, and today a really dirty Petromax arrived from Germany.
wash all parts with an ultrasonic cleaner and well came clean.
and great that you can find a forum like this where you can share your enthusiasm and questions :) 20200420_143417.jpg 20200420_143441.jpg 20200420_163741.jpg

Looks like she’s going to be a nice example of this type of lantern.
Enjoy your fettle and I’m looking forward to the fettle’s description and of course, the money shot.
    Cheers
    Pete

It's certainly had a busy working life judging by the dirt and grime that's built up but you'll have fun bringing it back to its former glory.

By the way, that's a big ultrasonic cleaner you have... very useful indeed!

thanks everyone, the refurbishment of this petromax was nice, and was completed really quickly, thanks to the ultrasonic washer.
I was even surprised at how clean it got, even though at first I thought otherwise.
next would be the restoration of the Hasag lantern I bought
