    This is my Px 828, Nov. 1936. The scratch marks on the bottom, "116" would appear it was made in November 1936. The globe is a Putzler, Indifferent x1036. The rapid lighter is the first type used by Petromax. It also has the fiber wheel. D.R.P. appears on the manometer. I may have a picture on here elsewhere but I wanted to get this in the gallery. "One for the album, Gromit!"

    Why are you doing this George? I want to reduce my number of lamps, but now there is this upcoming itch for these classic Petromaxes, again.
    I live in a cruel world. Mike

    I wonder, could this lantern be considered a "sicke" since the collar rests in "indentations" on top of the tank?:-k

    @george, no it can't .
    The term "Sicke" is only aplied on the collar with the feet and matching indentations in the tank.

    A tank with four dents is btw also not a sicke tank ;-)

    That is in such a nice condition, George. I guess most, if not all the nickel plating and parts are still in place.
    Early Petromaxes (1930s) such as that are rare in my area.
    NOS ones are almost never found around here.

    @WimVe Thanks, Wim! I had a feeling it was just the tank design at the time (1936).

    NOS of any brand from the 1930's will be hard to find anywhere.
