My stove/ lantern hobby exists on a very narrow budget. I have found a was to duplicate "silent burner" covers. If you use a micrometer to measure the diameter of an existing cover. Go to your local auto parts store and buy a cup type freeze plug in plated steel or brass. The shoulder on freeze plugs are in different heights, for instance, a 2" freeze plug may be offered with different shoulder heights. Now the fun part. Identify the jet size with a twist drill. I mark drill locale with a spring loaded punch. Taking time here will make a difference. Mark location of holes. Drill holes. This may sound rather time consuming, but if you dont have the part, cant get it, or cant afford it, this is an option. Brass freeze plugs are used in marine engines. I have used these dish side in pressed into tubing and silver soldered. I have used this teqnique to make spirit bottles, EXPERIMENTAL pressure tanks, etc. I am in the process of building a backpack lantern the size of a UCO candle lantern. Still in design right now.
