Coleman 228B Lantern circa June 1931

Dated June 1931, probably one of the early examples. I believe production started to roll out of Wichita about May 1930.

I have quite a few other 220B and 228B's. They are my favorite 220/228 lanterns. In my opinion, these are the premier models of the 220/228. Well made, best material, and very dependable.
The oldest I have dates to June 1930.

 

Time to 'fess up George--prefer the US dot-dash collar, or the Canadian "C-O-L-E-M-A-N" dot collar on the B's?

@MikeO What a beauty, Mike! NOS or just a great restoration? I have to admit I go for the US made. Canadian Coleman is another great line of Coleman collecting all by itself, in my opinion. I am already arse deep in US Coleman now so I decided to stick with just Wichita made.
What year is your 220B?

 

I really like the looks of the earlier 228s. I'm green anyway. I don't even have the later ones.
