Thought I'd get a picture of the last rays of sunset and include by Imber Research 310 lantern while I was at it.
    Close for the day.

Beautiful lawns George. I bought one of those robot mowers a few years ago, and it was the best thing ever. We have about an acre of grass, and the robot takes care of everything without any effort at all.
Not a seller, just a happy customer :)

You know how much grass we have here Mark and it is hard work for John and his various (usually one out of action) mowers. Are these robots really that good?

That's a lovely lantern, George, so it's such a shame it no longer has the correct globe. Please send it to me so that I can put that small matter to rights - you know it makes sense... :D

Ha, Ha, Ha! Yes, David wrong globe... it's from a 320 but it fits nicely. Address please so when I move on you will receive it! Don't need it where I'm going, it's not enough!
Jeremy, the top is "almost" perfect! One very, very small chip. I don't light it too often for fear of causing more damage.
Got over two acres here! Use to do cut it myself but gave up the ghost. Young fellow cuts it for now.
    ROBOT! How does it work?

Thanks, George - that's so kind of you!

Apart from a Vapalux do-nut, I think the only lanterns that would start me collecting again would be the Imber Research stuff. I've got three IR bowlfires and, I think, an IR 315 - I can see it but not reach it - but it wouldn't be on a display shelf if it were just a Bialaddin 315. So an IR 310 would complete the set nicely, methinks... :D/

    Impressive memory there, Podbros
Yes I posted a picture of mr. Turtle (A Husqvarna 430X) four years ago here.
He is still going strong, and I actually see him doing his work outside the window as I write this.
One of the best investments I've ever done! I do strongly recommend a robotic lawn mower of good quality.

I had a large John Deere lawn tractor I used to cut the lawn. Nice, automatic trans, power steering, water cooled engine. Gave up cutting grass last year so I gave it to my son. He has about 1 1/4 acres so he could use it. That robot cutter is a new one on me... I know about the vacuum cleaners but not trimmers. Boy, I bet that thing would save me money.

    @Carlsson

Apparently i have a 'selective' memory, or so i have been informed on many an occasion...

Glad to hear you haven't had to get the sheep in.

Sorry to hijack your thread. It is a beautifully cared for lantern on a lovely evening.

My robot is a Husqvarna same as Carlsson, we've had it 5 years and it really does a great job. Change the little blades every month or so, around 10-15euro for the season.
It gets everywhere, around trees, in all the corners and saves so much time and worry about cutting the grass. Also a lot of my moss problem has gone away, the moles don't like that it is always trundling about and only dig in my neighbour's yard. Mows in the wet and the dry, only take it in when it starts snowing, almost silent too.
    Really recommend it to anyone.
