Well if your brave enough or have to drive on the M6 Motorway up or down ...going on hols, or journeying.. whatever you can source lantern fuel at reasonable prices if you are stuck and need some for your lantern..Junction 23.. St Helens ..10 minutes to WA9 3 EZ .. Caldo oils St Helens where I get mine ... I suppose there will be some cheaper out there but its nice to know.. 9 -5 M - Fri , maybe Saturday morning ?... prices at the trade counter to you currently.. 1. From the depot pump take your own fuel cannister ... 28 second Kero .. 75p per litre as little/ much as you wish .. 2. 4 ltr pre pac paraffin .. £5.42 p 3. 4 lts paraffin extra ... £5.67 p Just a thought .. An update .. Just return to Caldo at St.Helens ... From the yard pumps.... prices .. all inclusive 5% VAT 76p per litre C1 Premium pfn 72p per litre 28 Sec domestic oil They even have drums for you at the side of the pumps if you aint got one . Not bad I say. Alb
Purchased some C1 yesterday at Caldo .. 80 p a litre left the 28 second kero alone ...I have some ... but is availble a few P*s less cheaper than C1 Pre packed also for sale in shop but is a tad costly compared wi out a't pump
Lightning strike ... During the recent thunder and lightning in the Northwest this week several terrifying bolts of lightning hit the Caldo oil depot in St Helens and all struck the metal pumps and ancilliary electrics ... !!@#???>>>&& .... nowt ' appened .. phew ..save pumps put out of action .. Aidan the boss will sell you prepack though at pump prices which is a great saving £3.20 pennies per 4 litres .. just an update as of 6th August Alb
My local Texaco garage had pumped paraffin for years but then one day it said out of stock and that was that. The lady in the shop explained that there had been some additional regulations introduced over containers and dispensed paraffin that had made selling it 'loose' no longer viable...doh!
Hi Folks my local oil depot has recently sold out to AZTEC oils .. Caldo sadly no more longer .. best part though .. Still trading same venue / staff / location ...WA9 3EZ. St Helens .. Pre pac paraffin from the trade shop and from the yard pump.. this morning 5/12/19.. + 28 second kerosene ...76 p per litre .. 1/2 p increase. C1 paraffin 90 p per litre ... a slight increase there. They have free drums at the side of the pumps / or bring your own..
**** EXCELLENT NEWS ***** Oil depot formally Caldo Oils , St Helens ... now trading once more .. draught from the pump pity not Tetleys or John Smiths .. ...hey ...but.... but just maybe next month .. Kero ... 76 p a litre C1 90 p a litre Same location , maybe the during takeover was deemed too much they were doing OK before. Same location . Pre pac C1 available but a tad costly ... they could be AZTEC oil now !
