Just wondered what the correct mixing tube height from the jet should be for a 200?
    Cheers

    Thanks Nils
This is for the 200P I got a couple of weeks ago. It arrived with a loose mixing-tube, so I just tightened it up. It's 17mm now, so I'll lower it a few mm and see what happens.
Actually, it works really well, giving out lots of light (it was turned right down for that last pic). There's not a hint of black mantle either.
    Cheers

If it works, then maybe there's no need to change things. Of course if it doesn't work well at the recommended gap, you can always put it back.

When you say "turned down", how do you do that? Using the cleaning needle to partially block the jet is not a good idea. The only way to adjust the brightness is to adjust the pressure. It can't be too low though as there needs to be a certain amount of heat from the mantle to keep the vapourisation going.

I adjusted it to 14mm which seems to be very slightly better.
Yes, I used the cleaning needle to block the jet and found out the hard way! At one point the lantern went out, but not before it had covered the mantle, globe + cap in thick black soot! Sheesh, newbies eh?
After a couple of minutes blast the mantle completely cleared though. I have to say this lantern works great, I really like it.
    Cheers
