Big thank you's to @Jean J and @James K for supplying a variety of invaluable parts and of course, to @Matthew92 for donating the original Tilley fount and stem that started the project in the first place! Between the four of us it's been possible to resurect another Tilley table lamp for future generations to enjoy. I'll post some money shots as soon as it's been properly fettled and checked over but I wanted to show everyone how it looks so far. The glass you see is only there until I get a 182 to finish it off correctly.
Well done, it's looking great. These shorter table lamps are given little press but they come up very nicely. Good effort with so many supporters.
Very nice Colin, that colour is very attractive. Perhaps I could paint a Bretby vase with it - just a thought!
Beautiful lamp, love the current globe really suits it. Was offered a tall table lamp yesterday after a guy seen my ad looking for parts, looking at this has put me in the notion.
If you send me one I'll be sure have a go.... of course, it might take me a few years to get around to doing the work but it'll look nice on my shelf in the meantime - he he! Oh, and thank you to the moderators for adding the manufacturers name! I was so excited to post about it I clean forgot!!!

Hi Colin, that looks good! Is is the same as you use for the Bialaddins? Or a different one? Will you be lacquering the brass bits, at all? There's a problem with the burner which I'll have to sort out first so a money shot will take a little longer.
The previous burner was completely shot but I had a spare from a 246b so I swapped it over. I performed a unsen test first... That worked so I fixed one of my Butterfly mantles and wow.... this things bright! I've left her running for an hour now and she's solid as a rock. Success at last!
Well, she's been running for quite a while now without hunting or losing pressure so I'm very happy! I intend to rub down the surface as it's got a few dust specs and hairs and then give it another two coats and find a compatible clear lacquer as the Claret Wine paint is not very fuel resistant.
I'll replace it with a 182 as and when I buy a replacement but this one doesn't look that bad.... although it might look better with a 7" vaporiser.
I think a vitreosol globe looks really nice on a short lamp Colin and the white with the red fount would be really neat.
...It's the only one i have !...And I'm unsure whether to use it 'hot' as it has a small chip at the fitter end.. Also it's not at all easy to manoeuvre into position... ..Are you sure you haven't got a spare Jean?
I do have a few pb but can’t exactly say that they’re spares, never know when I might want to use them.
