These beautiful totally unbranded examples began shipping from Coleman July 1920 to Yale, after the patent was granted June 22 1920 (not always a practice of the past). It is my observation that all entries that were entered to Yale only, indicates they were a distributor for mail order companies Sears, Montgomery Wards, WM Savage, and others selling retail. Over 1,000+ went out that first shipment and averaged about the same for the months left of 1920. By 1923 the frame had changed to the deeper dish center as LQ model without a baffle plate, open vent nut. The support rod for the burner began as 1/4” diameter, sometime in 1924 changing to a larger 5/16” rod (lantern and lamps). The mica globe no. LZ 327 earliest version dimensions were 5” X 5” wide reflector with swinging round match lite door, vents for these were with three tabs to secure mica when operating the door, vent nuts were closed top, after a few months mica dimensions changed to 5 1/4” H X 5” D with a narrow reflector with swinging round match lite door, thus eliminating need for tabs on the vent, in the fall of 1924 mica again changed to sliding up and down lite door.
