Thank for everybody, The size 67" including globe and all of parts are original and original globe too. the weight around 35-40 kg. @Nils Stephenson it use Kerosene. @Anthony yes it same JH model, the point JH model they produce during the period 1908-1911. but this lamp writting "AIDA" on reflector. AIDA company registered on 1928 and the Trademark "AIDA" registered 1906 So, I am not sure which the year they produce this lamp. if something mis please advise?
Very nice presentation! This is a stunning light (I'm not sure what to call it - lantern, lamp, guess street light!)!
That is a beauty, nice and very big. It makes the other lamp in your pic look tiny. A great find, well done.
@James K the small hanging lamp. it's just a comparison to see the actual size of big lamp @WimVe still never turn light them and the system are same another gravity lamps.
..... looking at the patent, I would have thought it was a spirit lamp. Hard to believe a spirit lamp would give 1800 cp though. Are there other lamps like this that are kerosene ?
ha ha, my idea too. The filler filter also looks like the one used in Graetzin alcohol/spirit lamps. That is why I asked about lighting, esspecially pre heating. What is the patent number?
@Anthony yes it very hard to believe if you compare with Pressure lamp. I saw this lamp are same JH model and same JH paper at you post say 1800 HK. here is another gravity lamps 800cp the size only half of this lamp. on my hand I have more than 15 big lamps including Pressure lamp until 2000cp. but the Pressure lamp not to big if compare with this lamp. this lamp are own by another Thai collector (not my lamp)
