Hi all, This is my example of the Nagel Chase model No. 10 table lamp. With the shade No.65 “Fancy Opal” it ought to be the model 10-A. This is a 300 CP twin mantle (Quicklit) match lighting gasoline burner with a vertical tip cleaner. A well build quality lamp sold 1922-1932. The jet and cleaning needle were not functional, but I found a jet with matching threads and managed to make a new needle. Although not with optimal performance I got the lamp fired up. Anyone out there with a spare jet and needle for this lamp - please give me a PM! /Conny
The original jets in these are normally steel and are good to go. Prickers are another problem. I had six made in Australia for my NC lamps but they should actually be easy enough as the needle is crimped in a brass carrier which is inside a screwed on steel outer case. Has to be simple enough to make a new brass carrier and crimp in the business end of a Tilley pricker. Those NC generator-pricker arrangements are complicated but I found them easy enough to fettle although I have had to rewind new asbestos string in a couple. I can't remember if I ever posted a complete disassembled NC generator. I probably did though. ::Neil::
Yes, these Nagel Chase table lamps are really classic in style and stylish in design. Neil……. the orifice of the jet on this burner was the size of a Smith & Wesson muzzle. Do you know any jets with the same threads and orifice size that are available nowadays? /Conny

Not really but I bet I have a spare one here. I have a hollow wire wall bracket lamp that will never be used and that has a generator sitting in it. I expect the jet is OK. I will have a look and if it is OK you can have it. ::Neil::

Neil, that is great ! I will make a new try when I get it. I may also have to exchange the old asbestos string to have a better performance. I also have an item to send to you, returning the cast metal pre-heater. I got it back from the foundry yesterday and will send it by registered-letter post on Monday. /Conny

Hi, yesterday I got an old used but functional NC jet from Neil and some asbestos string for new generator stuffing. I also made a new cleaning needle. I tried the new generator ensemble on the lamp and the lamp works like a charm. Many thanks Neil for your contribution. /Conny
