    Dates started from October 1956.
    Yours takes a GF control cock so after 1940.
    I dont know when the water slide transfer started.
    If the burner is original then with the glass springs being on the outside is "post war".

    Yes, the springs are on the outside. What is a GF cock, I’ve seen it mentioned before but don’t know what it means, I’m relatively new to Tilleys

    Hi Darren, that’s a nice lamp and with a shade too!
    As Anthony mentioned, dating can be difficult pre October 1956 and as parts interchange, it’s quite usual to find older and newer parts together.
    There’s a thread somewhere on different control cocks, I think by Jeff Johnson, I’m sure he’ll chip in here and point you in the right direction. A couple of years into this lamp malarkey, I’m still getting confused!
    Good luck with your fettle.

    Stevie

    A good find and it should restore well enough and the link below shows relevant information about Tilley control cocks.

    @Darren Holt

    Do you mean that your lamp came with a glass globe and the white glass shade?

    Your wall lamp with the shade would be model WL25. What does the transfer say?

    Wow that's really amazing, a very impressive example of a Tilley wall lamp, one day I hope I'm lucky enough to find one, fingers crossed.
