Hi All! I will upload some pictures later. But i have recently bought another Tilley Guardsman for spares and its in very good order. I thought it was the earlier guardman as it had looped handle setup, but however looking on the base it says 1058XA so have i found a very early X246A with the wrong cage? Its a shame it only came with font,cage and pump but cant moan for £8.50 Cheers Adam
Doubt it, but an image would help. It sounds like someone's put an earlier cage on a later tank. The transition X246A that looks like a later 'Guardsman' but with X246A on the tank was 1961-62
