Brand new member from far above the Arctic circle requesting help I have recently acquired what I've figured out must be an OL52 (just found out from another pic, cannot edit the title). It's from an old emergency stock and has never been used(!) but unfortunately lacks some parts (picture is not of my lamp!) I just fell for the charm of it and thought maybe I would have my boyfriend convert it to electric, but having googled a bit I realized I cannot molest this beauty but rather try to restore it It has the hook/"J" leading down from the tank but no glass or burner Tips on what parts I need and where I can buy them will be much appreciated Will post pictures later but atm it's freezing cold and the lamp is in the garage
The OL52 is a 300 candle power with this reflector, the OL53 is the 500 candle power. What you have is the OL50. If it was the 500 cp it would be the OL51 A table lamp burner can be used but you will need a cone to keep the heat off the tank. Otherwise you will be looking for one of these.

So glad you intend keeping the lamp Kristin and intend completing it as it should be. You might have a problem finding the cone shaped bit and even more so finding the correct tall gallery/chimney bit but good luck with it.

Thanks for reply everyone! Looks like my memory played me a little trick and we're back to ol50 or 51, don't know how to tell? The "cone" is in place, so I need a glass and...the cock? No chance of finding parts where I got it, everything has been cleared out I'm afraid
Looks like you’re just missing missing the vapouriser and the globe. Contact Tilley lamp spares they might be able to help with the globe. Amazing unused condition!

Welcome to CPL ! What a way to start a collection! edit ; the control cock is there screwed into the end of the 'L' shaped fuel feed pipe.. its the vapouriser you need and as Stevie said the glass or globe
OMG Kristin, there will be people here weeping into their bed-time cocoa at the sight of that lamp and dreaming of owning such a specimen.
Unfortunately, the correct vapourisers (part number 301) are as rare as hen's teeth but never say never. Tilley 301 vaporisers, three different styles.. For the sake of appearances, you can substitute the more common 300 c.p. vapouriser part no. 169. It is the same length as the 301 and has the same brass fitting which screws into the control cock but I don't know if it will work effectively with the 500 cp burner. Top = 301 @ 12.75mm diameter. Bottom = 169 @ 9.46mm diam. Part 302 Base Camp exclusive..! Shaped glass for OL51, OL54, OL55 outdoor suspension lamp Limited stocks! £26.95. There is a big difference in size between the usual 300 cp and 500 cp burners Tilley 500cp., do-nut lamp burner unit. If you wish to try the lamp with the 500 cp. burner, irrespective of the vapouriser, you will have to use a 500 cp mantle. I recommend you keep the original 500 c.p. mantles in their period packet and use one of these instead 312 500cp mantle for IL34,OL51/53/55. Give me a couple of days while I experiment with 300 cp vapourisers in 500 cp burners.
Paraffin pressure lamp spare parts (tilleylamp.co.uk) absolutely! Was able to get a spare vaporizer for my lamp.. a 1950's table lamp. Quickly shipped. They should be able to tell you the right globe. Some of the photos look like the standard onion globe. I was able to get a spare off from Ebay that was a reproduction onion globe for daily use to set my original tilley onion globe aside.
I wouldn't even like to guess what the results will be. I'll be eagerly waiting for your findings @Henry Plews
Kristin H, Absolutely beautiful and ...I"ve never seen one 'new old stock' which makes your lamp as rare as hen's teeth and extremely valuable. Valuations are not given because of 'bidding competition' on eBay and such, which doesn't apply in this case. So I will comment and say, I wouldn't be surprised that a unique find like this on the open market would go northwards of $700...and with the risk of being vilified, I only point this out so Kristen knows what he has and to keep it new and unfired. @Kristin H @Anthony Well I didn't need two days. Here are a few of images of a 500 cp burner and mantle sitting on a 300 cp vapouriser (#169) on my TL10. Note: The mantle is not a genuine Tilley. The burner could be made to fit better by welding on a sleeve at the top end of the vapouriser. It would like the bottom one in the image posted by @JEFF JOHNSON here Tilley 301 vaporisers, three different styles.. @Kristin H I forgot to mention that you will need a wire carrier to support the glass, they are easily made if www.base-camp.co.uk can't supply a suitable one.
@Kristin H If you really want to get the best out of your new lamp, weld a sleeve onto a 169 vapouriser so that it's a nice fit in the burner spigot as I suggested in my previous post and then drill out the orifice to an absolute maximum of 0.25mm, assuming of course, you wish to try your hand at micro engineering. You can still use the existing cleaning needle but do remove it before enlarging the orifice.
Hi everyone, So grateful for all the help on how to fix this beauty! @paparazi Slowly realizing she made a real bargain although that was never my intention, just being curious and triggered by the charm of it @Henry Plews Got an urgent reply from the BaseCamp offering to ship the glass to Norway and also a vapouriser although not functioning. But at least I can assemble and display it, which was my basic plan. Luckily my boyfriend is a mechanic and thanks to your great tips he can assist in the rebuild of what he thought was a waste of (a small amount of) money It will take a bit of time with shipping and all but I will post pictures when is has been completed. Also need to finish the build of the sea cabin where I plan to hang it, so time is a bit tight atm Meanwhile, stay safe of covid so you can enjoy the results
The other lamp looks l Ike a Guardsman. These are strong and very useable lamps and although worth a few quid as a boxed NOS item, not in the same bracket as the doughnut and a user in your 'seacabin'. Martin
That donut is a beauty, not many like that around. I remember a few years ago seeing a couple of new unfired Guardsman lamps selling for an eye watering amount. I bought this one here around the same time and paid a fraction, I think being sealed held it back because no one knew what the lamp inside the box was like. Luckily mine wasn’t kept anywhere damp and looking at yours I don’t suppose that was either.
