    It's a lovely lamp with a pretty good hood. Those style of enamel hoods can get very rusty but yours looks to be in great condition. The tank is in very good condition and should clean up well with a little soapy water and a soft brush. The wire globe holders often rust like that but the glass will wash up nicely too. All in all, you've found a very nice lantern!

    Hello Jean,
    Greetings from a windy Cornafean,County Cavan.
    Not much time for my lamps just at the moment.
    My rayburn and aga are fired up and I am expecting 3 old irish goats in the next few days please God.
    Hope to make some lye from the wood ashes,then some soap.
    Fencing to finish and a new feed bin ordered,more feed to be ordered for the goats too.
