These are in our local auction... along with my next Tilley Lamp.
Is anyone here interested in them? They look like fun.

They are fun to fettle; the pump cups are extra small.

I have several , British/Swedish ... they are addictive and represent a bygone era .. I restore them to working condition ... all paraffin ... stay away from Petrol ... downright lethal and temperamental ... Blow lamps are handy and of course brilliant for metalwork heating and obliterating stubborn garden weeds , lighting barbeques when all fails..... and also hot oil gas has a higher temperature than any gas gun:thumbup:

They look good... hours of fun and they sound great when they’re roaring away

Also the fastest way to strip paint from anything... easy does it!

I remember my Grandfather showing me how to light one when I was 6 - was it plumbers hemp soaked in paraffin around the base of the fuel pipe ?

I've got an old Primus kero blow lamp that originally belonged to my grandfather. looks old, tarnished and well used but still fires up ok (the torch, not grandpa).
matter of fact just retrieved it from the bottom of the shed, filled it with kero as have a job to do with it later today.
it's noisy thing though, but puts out a lot of blue flame heat

I remember my father scaring the bejeesus out of me when I was very little, it was the roar when he first fired it up.
I have it somewhere, I think it may be a Tilley.
I would purchase a box of blow lamps like those if the price was right. Chances are that they may end up as scrap
    if no one wants them.
Anyway there have been some posted over the years that have become franken lamps and Franken stoves.

Yes, as a wee tacker watching on, the first time I saw him light it it scared the crap out of me ...... heaps of fun though and they work great.
    Cheers
