hi all,im new to this and looking for advice.please.i have just been given a tilley 361xa lamp and im wondering.does the vapouriser stem need a seal to join it to the burner?this one leaks through the gap where they both join.if i need one where can you purchase one please?.any advice ??
361XA is not a Tilley model. That is the date code for March 1961 and almost certainly means you have a Model X246 maybe a month before Tilley changed the model number to X246A. Yes there is a thin rubber seal where the vaporiser screws into the valve block. Has to be thin or the pricker won't work. You probably need a spares kit which you can buy from Base Camp but there are experienced collectors up around where you are and maybe one of them can help. ::Neil::
