picked this up at a local flea market for 15 dollars today. I know it's not a coleman lantern. but is built similar to the coleman 327 quicklite. I'm guessing age is late 1920s to early 1930s. any ideas of make and actual age. any help is greatly appreciated!
Hi Eric, I would have a look in the reference library under Nulite ? The vapouriser with its ‘umbrella’ looks distinctive to me? Great find and good luck
I’m thinking Nulite M5, there is one in the reference gallery. The collar on this one is slightly different from the reference gallery’s Nulite M5. Nice find, I would like to see it up and running after its fettle. Enjoy Pete
thanks guys for all the help! I I knew that it was different and for $15 willing to take the Gamble too bad the Coleman Pyrex green letter Globe is cracked. any idea on a time frame for this lantern?
The “umbrella” generator dates from 1923, but the lantern could be earlier than that if the generator is a replacement to the original. It looks like a 5M to me (I say cautiously). If so, these were made from around 1919 to 1923. Cheers Tony @Mackburner
thanks for all the information! shouldn't take much to get it back up and running again. looks to be very basic and straightforward. only problem may be the pump leather if I can't save it. not sure where to find a replacement. will be sure to post pictures once it's up and running. may be alittle while as I'm working 7 days 12 hour shifts.
