    Ha-ha-ha - that's nearly funny, Joshua.

They were an export model for the North American market mainly. I'm aware of a couple that have found their way back here but that's about it...

So it is the real thing? not a home build? I am impressed, a beautiful and desirable lantern. Well done.

I want to see pictures of the flounder.

Well done on your catch ! ;)
I have yet to reel one in.. :/

Great to see it working

How were these used exactly? Did they shine into the water or across the surface of it?
If so, how were they secured?
Some sort of clip-on base might have been useful as I can see them getting nudged and/or the boat rocking..

The handle is at a angle so one would hold it in his/hers non-dominate hand and gig with the other. Shining down into the water. The pick up tube is flexible allowing it to follow gravity to pick up the fuel from the lowest part of the fount.
