Hi All I have recently acquired a Chalwyn Tropic hurricane lamp but I am a newbie to these and have no idea how to remove the housing to be able to insert a new wick. I’m sure one of you experts can tell me please. Many thanks.

Easy .. Lantern hanging bale straight up .. hand on very high point .. index finger to catch small ring on the lamp top ... pull upwards ...glass and holder will move hold and slide back/ or front ... take glass out if you wish to clean .. or not ...The wick holder can be turned anticlockwise to slide from the supports and free . use the small rod that controls the height to help you ..Pull up and out ... sort your wick out , clean and regrease ... easy mate ..
