Tilley FL6.

    Can anyone give me an idea as to the maximum temperature of a Tilley FL6 top section would achieve in an hour, running at full blast, in open still air? The lamp in question needs a repaint. Thank you for any information. Kind regards. Carl

    The top vent gets so hot that it will scorch flesh.

    Some high temp paint will work for a little while .. it will eventually fail but perhaps you can re-spray?
