Tilley Pork pie X246

I came across this very barn fresh pork pie today; it’s different than the one I already have; can someone estimate a date for me please?

That’s the first version of the X246. It has the short (knuckle burner) bail. Not long-lived and the next version has a longer bail.

So… that makes it 1946.

It's fine to light - just a bit hot carrying it around.

I’ve no complaints about the light, burns pretty good for an older lady.
