Hey all! Been so long since I’ve been here. Feels weird. Figured you guys might appreciate the photos I took of a few of my wickies earlier this week. Enjoy!
Wick lamps are often derided against mantle and pressure, but there are some very attractive examples around from the vase lamps to ornate brass. Then there are the Baby Feur Hands; the rusting road lamps; railway signal lamps - and the likes of this: Anyone care to guess an age? Or expand upon the company L & D?
@Derek My grandfather collected these wickies. I got many of his. Don’t know much about them though. My official guess on your lantern is 1895-1905.
Thank you guys. Anyone know who L D of Paris, France were/was? I've done preliminary searches and come up with a blank. That's pretty bp4willi.
