One of the lanterns I plan on picking up this year is a petromax style lantern. I have read countless threads and have seen the older the better. The availability in my local area is zero, so FB marketplace and fleabay are probably what I will use. So with current ish production I see Ali express ones around 80 bucks, some butterfly models around 170 to 225, a few blem work horses for 200 ish maybe less, Britelyte xl for 3+ some older ones for less. For the record this, an Austramax and maybe a Lightening bug are the other. What's is the current opinion , 3+ for new? or more for vintage , take an Ali chance? I haven't seen many (any)reviews on the Ali version or actual Britelyt I appreciate any opinions. Take care.
