Hi all My bowlfire needed a vapouriser and i decided to try one of these new style Korean vaps which break down into components, this seems to be a good idea given how easy it should make it to clean it out and, if needed, replace needles and jets. Unfortunately it arrived disassembled and I'm puzzling which way round to assemble it, daft i know, it only has 5 pieces... Does anyone know a) which end the narrow bit of the coil should be at, near the jet or near the base? b) where the copper mesh should be wrapped, around the narrow bit? Is this intended to be a filter or an aid to heat conduction? The only other vaps ive seen photos of the inside of seem to have much more copper mesh or similar in them, is this just Korean economy or does the rather butch spring make up for the lack? Any thoughts Vapalux veterans?

Well, I reckon that the spring, as shown, is the correct orientation, that is the narrow end to the top nearest the jet. In this position, the narrow part in the spring would help to guide the pricker into the jet. I would think the copper mesh should be wrapped around the narrow bit in the spring. I think this would put the mesh in a position to get more heat and secondly, the mesh wrapped around the narrow part of the spring would make it easier to insert into the generator’ tube.
