Coleman 660 globe clone (etched) try-out

    Canadian Coleman lanterns, both 500cp, model 639 dated 2 73 left, a 236A dated 2 69 on the right sporting the ‘etched’ globe.

    Clone on the left, alongside an authentic 660.

    ‘Trailblazer by Winchester’ it reads.

    The etched band becomes continuous away from the inscription.

    The globe originally adorned an unbranded propane lantern.

    I like the effect, so it’s a keeper for one or other of those lanterns.

    The etched glass is easier on the eyes. :thumbup:

    @ROBBO55 Surprisingly so Robbo, so I might get more use out of a 500cp lamp, which otherwise I find is too bright for comfort.

    @presscall John totally agree.
    Even more so now that I have loaded up a Peerless 1111 on my 639. If it were possible, the brightness has increased!
    Definitely not for the camping table, better hanging on a tree 50m away :lol:
