Hello everybody! Does anybody have an originally packaged 300 CP mantle, manufactured by VEB Leuchtstoffwerk Bad Liebenstein (Eastern Germany) in their collection? These were enclosed with the Eastern Germany "MEWA" lanterns upon delivery. I need only a photo, not the mantle itself, in the original packaging for a book project about the HASAG 351 L lantern and their successor models. Can anybody help? Best regards Frank
Hello Frank, this page ca help you: Glühstrumpf- und Glühkörpertypen - eine Übersicht - Stand: Mai 2014 iogear1 Old Firehand - PDF Free Download Kind regards Jörg
Hello Jörg, thanks für sending the link. I already know this very interesting compilation from Martin Scheerer's website starklicht.com. However, for my book project I need a single photo with a resolution of at least 300 dpi in order to achieve sufficient print quality. Therefore I am dependent on an "original". Best regards Frank
Hello Frank, why don't you write Martin Scheerer a mail and ask him for a photo for your book project? From where do you have your information concerning the Hasag 351 L from the VEB Leipziger Werke? Kind regards Jörg
Hello Jörg! I already contacted Martin Scheerer, but he couldn't help me as he doesn't own this mantle himself. My research on HASAG and "MEWA" has been going on for a long time now and I have used all possible sources, the Internet of course, but also very laborious archive research in the Saxon State Archives in Chemnitz, Dresden and Leipzig. There is a lot of material, but it is a lengthy work to sort through. I'll be going to Leipzig again shortly, but I also realized that a lot of informations are incomplete or no longer available. Best regards Frank
Hello Frank, if you believe it or not but I vistited the state archive of Leipzig already two times and made over 1500 scans there! Attached a pdf file in German language I made three years ago. Maybe I can help you. Kind regards Jörg My private mail adress is: jwstonie@hotmail.com
