I recently acquired this Ditmar S Arde 786 lamp, without any wick. Can someone tell me the name/type/specs of the wick that I should be looking for? There is some kind of air shaft running from the burner end all the way down to the base. Quite surprisingly, a search on the internet did not throw up much results when queried with the brand and model no.
Nice lamp. Well with a central shaft it would be a centre draft burner as it is called. Through the holes in the foot it will draw extra air which means more light. But you miss the top part of the flame spreader and maybe more besides the obvious filler cap. Can you post some detail pictures of the burner out of the lamp recevoir and without glass? If I am not mistaken these are also known under "Wunderlampe".
@Arun Kumar That style of the foot and burner reminds me of a "Mirador"-Lamp from Ehrich & Graetz, Berlin/Germany (E&G). So yours could be a kind of "copy" of this lamp, made by Ditmar (or Gebr. Brünner AG) in Vienna/Austria. Perhaps you could try a Google search for "Mirador E&G" to confirm this yourself.
And here's a bunch of Ditmar available, you think spare parts from these will fit in my lamp? I will have to buy the whole lot though.
