OK, here is my recently completed Tilley ML98. It’s been cobbled together with parts from various sources.

The fount, pump and cock came from Jean J‘s excess stock.
After a clean and polish, the paint on the tank looked in reasonable condition so I decided to keep it original.

The gallery came from Jim Dick’s spare parts, when his nephew was helping him downsize.

By now it shouldn’t be too hard to guess where this beautiful Oak plinth came from.
I pick it up at the first Staffordshire Reef get together. It's taken a while but I have finally put it to use.
The plinth, after sanding was sealed with shellac and polished with beeswax.

    The shade is a reproduction.

And new seals from The Fettlebox.

    Thanks everyone.

Nice work, Martin - the shellac and beeswax looks fabulous on Anthony's woodwork.

Is the shade one of the John Moncrieff reproductions?

    Cheers

Very nice and I think the shade finishes it off nicely. I’ll need to keep my eyes peeled for one to complete my own lamp.

Thanks everyone for the positive comments, I'm obviously pleased with the lamp also.

Tony, The shade came from an Australian Ebay seller 'Queensland Lamp Oil Supplies' (qld_lamp_oil) who had some listed for sale last year. The profile is different to the Moncrieff repo shade I have.
