I posted this here because it's a gassie rather than a true pressure lantern. The only reason I have one of these is because the globe fits a Veritas 350 and genuine globes are getting increasingly hard to find. However, having sourced a couple for their globes, I wondered what they were like in use, so i kept one in its box and waited till I could spare the cash to buy a Gaz cylinder. They work very well and even have a flint based lighting mechanism similar to the one Coleman sold as an add on for the 220 which is a nice touch. So... there's not much to say apart from that. It works, it's bright but it's a bit boring!
And then this blue colour..... @ColinG You are talented in spay colouring. Would you dare to improve the design by some nice burgundy or other better colour.
I do like as rich Burgundy red but i think I'll keep this in its original colour. It's taken me quite a while to get the Belvedere working so i won't mess with it.... and anyway, i have another respray in progress, restoring a real grotty mess i was given and making it into something that will be beautiful when it's finished... hopefully!
I've got a belvedere as well colin, found it a car boot sale for the same reason as you that the glass fits a veritas 350, it works very well, mine has got a much smaller gas canister, perfect for quick lighting in a power outage. Ian
