    Hi,

    Great little lamp.
I can't imagine what Aladdin logos you talk about. It looks all right to me. Can you explain, please.

The "P in G" logo is modern junk. It should be "E in the G" logo for Ehrich & Graetz

    This is what i mean.
There's Aladdin tag on the top and Petromax stamp on the tank.

Just before the war around 1938-1939 Aladdin UK was reseller of E&G lanterns.
At the start of the war German products in the Uk decline in demand so they where sole only for 1-2 year.

I am not sure what to think about the first two pictures.
Did you @MrSys make them ?

I have seen that Aladdin label on a Petromax before. It's not how the English Aladdin-Petromax were labeled as they always had both brand names on the same label like this one from a Petromax 900.

Aladdin UK were not the only Aladdin company to retail other brands of Pressure lighting and These two labels are from a Petromax Model K822 found in Hungary.

So this 822 with an Aladdin label is just another Petromax retailed by one of the Aladdin businesses. I don’t know exactly where there were Aladdin offices but they were certainly in places like France, Hungary, Argentina and Brazil. I suspect there were many more countries with an Aladdin office and before WW2 just about any of them could have retailed the Petromax range. ::Neil::

A nice old lamp. Certainly genuine.
The logos in the first two pictures are those from the modern Petromax. That's with the 'P' in it. Unrelated to the Petromax 822.

Both importers and retailers often put their nameplates or stampings in addition to the originals.
I've seen quite a few of such units. Petromax lanterns or lamps aren't the only ones that might have these additional nameplates. Such markings can be present on others like Primus, Optimus, Coleman to name a few.
Aladdin and Racek are some of the well-known ones. Possibly Hasag too. Some had been completely re-batched as well. Some are reputable manufacturers on their own as well.

An interesting old lantern, like the beaded shade.
