Never seen one like that before. Looks like someone was playing with some leftover plastic in the moulding machine.
@Sedgman & @Nils Stephenson I’m off in the Bush Capital, but I think I’ve got an example in my shed of an odd coloured/patterned Austramax wheel that I thought must have been afflicted by chemicals, or have been at the start or end of the extrusion process. My collection of Austramax products revealed 2 colors Burgundy boat-wheels (as already shown) and black Pointer style for later models... .The making of bakelite components involves a measured quantity of a powder being being placed in a very hot mould and compressed in a hydraulic press for a set time .
mine has a burgundy not black pointer style. early 1990's model that I bought from Big W at Karingal Hub way back then
