What are those gas mantle spotlights I'm seeing sometimes?

I've seen pictures of them, including the "gathering" poster to the right, as well as in some members' profile pics, but I've been trying to figure out what the gas mantle spotlights featured occasionally actually are. That may also appear on my collection list sometime in the next year or so.

Think they are tilley floodlamps in the gathering photo FL6 usually is the more common

It's like Pete says; they are probably Tilley FL6's in the "gathering photo" (pasted below).
So they are not spotlights! Rather the opposite, being floodlights, and as such more useful as the working lights they were intended to be.

 

Aaahhh… I see now! The “Gathering” photos appear below, not to the right on an iPhone.

It most certainly is. And one of my favourite things in the collection. They do seem to turn up in the USA sometimes as A W Thacker did import them. Try putting FL6 in the search bar and you will see many examples and discussions.
