*Edit: Lantern later identified as a Doud. Read posts below in the thread.

I am not sure of the date of this lantern and I don't have a real model number for it either. There is a long list of Gloria lamps that I can't put a model to so for those with no number I have designated a letter to identify them. These are NOT Gloria model numbers they are my invention. The company was prolific but paper is scarce and I don't have anything for Gloria after about 1917. I assume 1920 ish for this one because of the design style. I am not even sure what fuel it was designed for although with a supplementary generator heater I assume it is likely to be a kerosene burner.

Yes some of these Gloria lamps are an interesting take on the technology available. I am desperate for more paper though. I have well over 25 models listed that I can't put a number to. Got to be paper out there surely? ::Neil::

Indeed yes it's taken years to ID this one correctly and it's not a Gloria. It is a Doud model 35 kerosene lantern from about 1921/22. I finally IDd it from this advert image from Larry Hillhouse. I assume the gasoline version would lack the generator heater tube so this one with the heater will be the kero version.

Lantern moved to "Other brands" after this later identification, and title amended accordingly.
